Writer's block.

Firstly, I just want to say that I had TONS of things to write for blogs. Like meaningful, deep, logical, thought-provoking kind of posts. I HAD those ideas. But I've forgotten all of them. D8

So anyway, what I've been up to lately. I just finished watching Mei-chan no Shitsuji and Atashinchi no Danshi. Both awesome Japanese dramas. :D And now I'm rewatching Nodame Cantabile~

Uh, I haven't been in the doll mode for quite some time... No photography inspiration....(or just plain lazy...)

I want to write something intelligent and witty. But nothing seems to be happening. Weeee....

MOVIE WON'T LOAD.

ROFL! I just re-read my older blog posts (Yes, I am that self absorbed...). SO FUNNY! I DON'T EVEN GET WHAT I'M REFERRING TO!!! HAHAHA!

What's with the HIM and other GUY? Which one? Got so many! XDXD I have a lot of crushes on male teachers... too bad the me last year did not specify. :P

I've decided to write a blog entry once a week because I discovered that it's fun to look back at what you write :3

So. I just had my exams. Yesterday was A.maths P1 and Lit(AMND). Today was A.maths P2 and Physics MCQ. Tomorrow( Wed, 22/9/10) will be a day off, then Chemistry MCQ on Thursday and holiday on Friday :D And it will be the end of Prelim 2, a few days closer to O level. *shudders*

I'm still considering whether I should go to Sentosa on Friday with Peiwen, Natalie Neo, Wanyi, Haiting (that whole bunch)... I don't want to regret not going. More importantly, I don't want to regret having gone. :(

Currently it is 11.45pm. And I'm trying to watch "How to train your dragon". THE MOVIE DOESN'T WANT TO LOAD. I watch till 1:05h and it hanged. I had to try reloading again. And again. And again. I only managed to reload it just 15 mins ago. Such a pain in the ass. I just want to watch the ending. Is that so difficult? Is that too much to ask for?! *cues melodramatic music*

Super. Uber. Tired.

MM Lee's interview

So MM Lee had an interview with the New York Times. And everyone is expressing their views. Especially Malaysians.

I read one article that appeared in Malay daily Utusan Malaysia by Tan Melaka and he said that "[Singaporeans] feel they are oppressed, especially since they see the freedom enjoyed by their closest neighbour, Malaysia. Malaysians are free to express their dissatisfaction, and can even poke fun at their national anthem!" He also mentioned that "MM Lee has not given Singaporeans what Malaysia has given its young - the air of freedom". Freedom is a very very dangerous thing. If Singapore gave people the freedom to speak, discriminate, insult and criticise, Singapore will just end up having another racial riot. We are what we are today because we practice tolerance. We don't often express our displeasure about the other races because we know how to accept their flaws and understand each other. Giving people a freedom to speak may just end up for the worse because there will be too many opinions and maybe even disagreements. And disagreements will lead to tension, which may end up as a conflict. The severity of the conflict differs on the individuals. Besides, I think we are allowed to express our dissatisfactions, we could always write in to the Forums, etc. If there is no "net", no limit to stop us from crossing the line, there's going to be a lot of trouble.

Let me get this straight. You're saying that we "lived in fear of acting or speaking"? Have you ever considered that it is because...maybe we don't see a need to? Sure, there are a few outspoken individuals that want their voices heard, but there's not need for riots and boycotting like what happened in other countries right? We are civilised people living in a "developed country", as he said. So what if we have a "Third World democracy"? At least it took us this far and it is bringing us even further. I'd like to see that happen in Malaysia. I know that change is good and we must always be adaptable to survive in world. Change will come when people learn from this "Third World democracy" concept and improve on it.

The new campaign "1Malaysia" is stresses on national unity, ethnic tolerance. The 2010 values of 1Malaysia as articulated by Najib Razak are perseverance, a culture of excellence, acceptance, loyalty, education, humility, integrity, and meritocracy.(definition taken from Wikipedia, under "Ideology" section) I fail to see how that is different from Singapore. Emulate Malaysia's freedom given to Youths for them to speak? Sure, we could always promote these activities in Secondary and Tertiary Education. In fact, I think it is a great idea for the MOE to promote awareness in current affairs within the students, the future generation of Singapore. As long as there are teachers(the limit) there to guide us and "stop us from crossing the line"(so as to speak), Singaporeans could have more freedom to express their complaints more critically.

That's all I wanted to say. I just had to let it out.

Let's play the waiting game.

I just ordered a new doll.

I'm having mixed feeling about this boy. I want him to have freckles, but I know he won't look good in them. I want him to have a special look(aka custom faceup), but it's expensive. I actually have to pay US$16.70 more for just the custom face up. Which is about... S$37 more dollars? And I won't know if it'll look good or not.

But I'm glad. I finally have him. Aidan Nyx. :)

And there's also another problem.

The company has yet to send me an order receipt form thing. Which is supposed to come IMMEDIATELY after you order something. (If I remember correctly.) I've heard complains about this company rushing to complete orders, having a "we-delivered-it-to-you, now-it's-your-problem" attitude....etc. I just hope they aren't like that with Aidan. I really really really want him to turn out alright.

Wish me luck, myself. *Crosses fingers*

Oh right. And there's O levels. Yay me.

Oh, and Nyx means The female personification of the night, daughter of Chaos. Cool, huh?

I realised that each time I get a new doll, I seem to be more quiet about it. Lol. It's not that I don't love them less than my first one. I think I just want to see people's surprised reaction when they hear that I got a 3rd doll. But of course I've told Hannie and Pee Wee.(I attempted to hide it from them as well, but their influence on me was too strong.)

Also, a big thanks to my mum for allowing me to have Aidan :) His profile will be up soon. I'm still thinking of his background and personality. Weeee~

Hope he comes after my O levels or something. That way I have something to motivate me to study. Or I can just get Louis and Benni to sit beside me and study. ^^
